1. Who we are

Pro Domme Society ("PDS") is a trade name of Insert Internetuitgeverij, a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 27190568. VAT number NL001713667B70. Contact: info@pro-domme.nl.

In these terms, Pro Domme Society and Insert Internetuitgeverij are referred to as "we" or "us".

These terms apply to:

  • buying tickets for events, online workshops and trainings of PDS via pro-domme.nl;

  • membership of PDS, insofar as it concerns the member benefits on pro-domme.nl (member discount, the learning environment and the online trainings).

The terms and conditions of BDSMforyou also apply to the online trainings and apps of BDSMforyou (such as What is BDSM?, BDSM Lexicon and The art of conditioning within BDSM).

2. Age

Our events, workshops, trainings and the learning environment are exclusively for persons aged 18 and over. When registering, you declare that you are 18 or older. We may ask for proof of identity at an event. If it turns out that you are younger, we will refuse you entry, without a refund.

3. Registration and tickets

  1. You register via the page of the event on pro-domme.nl. It shows the date, time, location (or "online"), the ticket types and the prices. All prices are in euros and include VAT.

  2. With a free ticket, your registration is confirmed immediately. With a paid ticket, your registration is final as soon as we have received your payment. You will receive the confirmation by e-mail, with a reference (PDS-…).

  3. You pay by bank transfer, using the details and reference in the e-mail, or (for some online workshops and trainings) via our webshop bdsmforyou.shop; the event page states which applies. We hold your places for 3 days. If we have not received your payment by then, the registration lapses and the places become available again; you will receive a reminder beforehand.

  4. The number of places is limited. Whoever is confirmed first gets the place.

  5. A ticket is personal and only valid for the person (or persons) in whose name it is; see also article 6.

  6. Practical information, such as the exact address or the link to an online workshop, is only sent to participants, in the confirmation e-mail or later by e-mail. This information is personal; do not share it with others.

4. Member prices and founding members

  1. Members of PDS get a discount at events with their personal membership number. When registering, you enter your membership number together with the e-mail address known to PDS. A member ticket is only valid while your membership runs.

  2. With one membership number you buy one member ticket per event, for yourself. For a guest you buy a regular ticket.

  3. The founding members of PDS take part free of charge in all events, workshops and trainings of PDS (one ticket per event, for themselves).

  4. Your membership number is personal. Misuse (for example using a membership number for someone else) may result in the ticket being cancelled without a refund.

4a. Private parties

  1. Some events, such as parties, are private. Members order a ticket for themselves and at most one partner with their membership number.

  2. Non-members first request access via the page of the event. You immediately receive a personal code; it only works after we have approved your request, only for that event, with the same e-mail address and for the number of persons in your request.

  3. We assess requests carefully and may reject a request without giving a reason. An approved request does not guarantee a place: whoever pays first gets the place.

  4. We only use the information in your request to assess it. We delete it no later than 30 days after the event.

5. Right of withdrawal

Tickets for an event, workshop or training on a specific date carry no right of withdrawal (the statutory 14-day cooling-off period). The law makes an exception for services related to leisure activities on a specific date (article 6:230p under e of the Dutch Civil Code). The cancellation arrangements in article 6 do apply.

6. Cancellation

  1. By you: up to 14 days before the event you can cancel free of charge by e-mail to info@pro-domme.nl; you will receive a full refund. If you cancel later, we do not refund.

  2. Tickets are personal. You may not pass on or sell your ticket to someone else, because we decide who takes part. Only with our explicit prior permission (by e-mail to info@pro-domme.nl, with the name and e-mail address of the other person) can a ticket be transferred to another name. If you cancel, we may offer the freed-up place to someone on the waiting list.

  3. By us: if an event does not take place, or we move it to another date, we will let you know as soon as possible. If we cancel, we refund the full amount. If we reschedule, you may choose: your ticket is valid for the new date, or you receive a full refund.

  4. Refunds are made within 14 days, to the account from which you paid.

  5. If you do not show up without cancelling, we do not refund.

7. During the event

  1. Our events, workshops and trainings are educational and professional in nature. Mutual respect, discretion and consent come first.

  2. Follow the instructions of the organisation and the supervisors. Anyone who does not keep to the agreements, or endangers the safety or privacy of others, may be refused access, without a refund.

  3. Discretion: what you see and hear about other participants during an event stays within the event. Photo, film and sound recordings are not permitted, unless the organisation explicitly allows it in advance and everyone who appears in them agrees.

  4. For online workshops, the link is personal. Recording or forwarding is not permitted.

8. Your safety

BDSM can involve physical and psychological risks. What you learn during a workshop or training is general and educational. You are responsible for how you apply it. Tell the supervisors in advance if there is anything we should take into account (for example a physical limitation). If you have doubts about your health, consult a doctor.

9. Intellectual property

Course material, handbooks, downloads and videos of PDS are protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable right of use. Copying, distributing or publishing is not permitted, except insofar as the law allows.

10. Liability

We do our best to organise our events carefully and safely. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the ticket concerned, insofar as the law allows. This limitation does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. We are not liable for belongings you bring to an event.

11. Privacy

For your registration we keep your name, e-mail address, the tickets, any membership number and the payment status; for a request for a private party also the information in that request (see article 4a). We only use this to organise the event and to inform you. More information is in our privacy policy.

12. Changes, applicable law and complaints

We may change these terms if there is a reasonable cause. For a ticket you have already bought, the terms at the time of purchase apply.

Dutch law applies to these terms. This does not affect mandatory consumer protection under the law of the country where you live.

If you have a complaint, e-mail info@pro-domme.nl. We will respond as soon as possible and substantively within 14 days at the latest. If we cannot resolve it together, you can turn to the competent court.
